Super Mario 3D Land Review

This is actually my first non-video review on here or nintendo-city, so i hope i do okay.


Super Mario 3D land brings back the 2D side scrolling of New Super Mario Bros Wii, takes elements from older side-scrollers, and combines it with Super Mario Galaxy and older 3D platformers. Super Mario 3D Land is a great game for Mario players of all ages, skill levels, and ability to not rage quit. It brings a good challenge, while its difficulty does satisfy younger gamers as well. If you are older and more experienced, this game may seem a little easy, but it was even a big challenge for me at times, and i've been playing Mario since I was very young.

As for the gameplay, it's like any mario game, reach the flag at the end as you go through 8 (Plus Special) worlds to defeat Bowser. What makes this game so new is the fact that it combines that original Mario feel with the 3D feel of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. Although the game isn't as big as the 3D games, it still gives the classic and new feel. The game keeps you glued to your 3DS as to get 100%, you're going to have to get every star coin, beatt every level with Mario and Luigi, and reach the top of each flag.

Pros of this game are the old and new feel, fun levels, great catchy music, high replay value, and a good challenge. The graphics were amazing, and the 3D was a great addition to it all. Some cons would be the fact that the game was either very easy or very hard often. But that can also be a good thing to some people. Another con would be the length of some levels were a little short, and the regular story is very short and easy to beat. So overall, i would give Super Mario 3D Land a 9.5/10. I have all the star coins

I have all the star coins too and my mother and sister need to know where they are XD

The star coins are easy to get.
