Sonic Generations 3D Review
From Sega, the popular Sonic The Hedgehog franchise has the 3DS with the first Sonic game to make it's debut to the 3DS after hitting the PS3, XBOX, is truly one of the fastest Sonic games yet!
The story starts with our hero's special suprise party he's a little too early for. However, this all goes wrong when a mysterious phenomenon suck Sonic and his friends into a place with no time, colorless.
Meanwhile...
Sonic The Hedgehog, taking a run through his first adventure, finds himself getting caught in something that also sucks him into the same world. Now, both Modern and Classic Sonic must solve the mystery by what is suck everything into this strange world and making it colorless, before it's too late.
The gameplay of this game, along with the storyline, is great. Only the movies aren't really movies, they captions with still character animation images that only shake and breath as well as their expressions change.
The gameplay and graphics is great. Not as good as the PS3 or XBOX versions though, but still a good game. The 3D is nice, and really makes it pop out of the screen, but glaring is an issue if you don't keep it in the right angle. There is ALOT of content in this game, there are missions to play to unlock really cool stuff like music from past sonic games, card patterns (only unlockable by playing online) you can decorate your in-game profile card with, action figures, art, and etc.
The online play is basically racing your opponent to see who reaches the goal ring first wins. You have to becareful though, as there is an added difficulty to online mode: Time Patches that grab you and you have to free yourself before you can continue on with the race. This costs you very valuable seconds and may lose you the race. At the end, when someone hits the goal, the win rating points, and if you have alot of points, you lose 300 of them, if you don't, you lose little or none.
After all this, the game, to me at least, stands to be a lasting game with some replayability value.
My rating for this game is 8
